The Braun Vangater™—innovative design. Introduced in 1977, the Vangater™ fold-in-half lift was a major innovation in adapted van transportation. For the first time, adapted van users had the luxury and convenience of half a doorway of usable space for easy loading and unloading. With the lift in its folded position, the ultra-compact, left-mounted single post design created more usable interior space, a clearer side view, and allowed the front passenger seat to be almost fully reclined.
